Great Scholarships are available for Master’s degrees. The University of Northampton was established in Northampton Northamptonshire, England. It was created in 1999 through the merger of several training college and then became a university in 2005 as the University of Northampton.

Northampton Technical College, which is located at St George’s Avenue and now the Avenue Campus, was inaugurated in 1924. Eight years later the Duke and Duchess were formally opening a new building for Northampton Technical College. Later, in 1937, the School of Art was established.

Northamptonshire was the only county in England that did not have a college for teacher training at the beginning the 1970s. The Park Campus was established in Liverpool after a college there lost its home. Margaret Thatcher (Secretary of State for Education and Science), opened the College of Education in 1972. This College was merged with the Colleges of Technology and Art to form Nene College of Higher Education. The name Nene comes from the River Nene. In 1978, the Leather Selling college from London was incorporated into it.

The university had 12,060 undergraduate students at its two campuses in 2019/20. It is split into four faculties, namely the Faculty of Business & Law, Faculty of Science & Technology, Faculty of Arts, Science & Technology, Faculty of Health & Society, Faculty of Education & Humanities, and Faculty of Science & Technology.

The university offers many undergraduate, foundation, and diploma degrees. It also has a range of postgraduate opportunities that lead to the Ph.D. level.

At the UnLtd/HEFCE Dare to Be Different’ national conference, June 2011, the university was awarded ‘The Outstanding HEI-Supporting Social Entrepreneurship Award’. In recognition of its efforts in social enterprise, the university was named the Midlands Most Entrepreneurial University of the Year in 2011 and 2012.

The university received international recognition for its commitment towards social innovation and entrepreneurship in February 2013 when Ashoka U. Northampton made it a ‘Changemaker campus’. It joins a global network that includes 21 other Changemaker campuses around the globe.
