UCentral Radio 99.3FM, a student radio station was awarded an LPFM license on September 24, 2015. KZUC-LP is the official call letter for the station.
UCO is a member and participant in NCAA Division II intercollegiate athletics. In 2012, the university joined the MIAA. Previously, UCO was part of the Lone Star Conference. UCO was also the largest school in that conference. It was able to join the MIAA in 2010. The conference submitted its application for membership in the conference on July 30, 2010. It began the 2012-2013 academic calendar year. The Bronchos are both men’s and woman’s teams.
UCO competes in baseball and women’s basketball. The women’s rowing team at UCO has been extremely successful over the last few years. They won back-to-back NCAA DII Rowing Championships (2018) and 2019.
The Class of 1921 was composed of nine graduates, who were the first to earn four-year degrees. In 1939, Oklahoma’s Legislature approved the institution to award both Bachelor of Arts as well as Bachelor of Science degrees. The college was renamed Central State College to reflect the expanded offerings.

Eligibility to the Graduate International Merit Global Scholarships
Graduate degree programs in all subjects offered by the university are eligible for Graduate International Merit Global Scholarships.
